If you’re heading into Star Wars Galactic Racer’s new multiplayer tour mode, here’s a quick tip: don’t dump all your upgrade points into speed. Sentinel I’s boiling acid will melt your ramjet boost in seconds, and you’ll need some resilience to survive. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later.
Veer a little off-track on Sentinel I and you’ll hit boiling yellow acid that quickly tanks your ramjet boost. It’s a bad time. While it’s normally tempting to throw your precious upgrade points into afterburner and ramjet to get your speed as high as possible, and battery if you’ve got a decent ability you need more energy for, make sure to put some points in resilience before you get to Sentinel 1 so you aren’t instantly tanked the screwed you skim over one of its scenic acid rivers.
It’ll come in handy later on as well, because the climactic race of each tour on Derven Acos is basically a remix of previous environments and their hazards—including a little bit of Ando Prime’s freezing ice, Lantaana’s lava, and Sentinel I’s corrosive acid. The same tip applies in singleplayer, of course, but there you’ll start with a bunch of tuning points earned in previous runs and be less starved for upgrades.
