Netflix has shared a new poster for Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, its upcoming adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ fantasy classic, with a trailer to follow the next day.
What does the Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew poster show?
The new poster shows a young Digory Kirke (Digory Robinson) and Polly Plummer (Bethan Waller) standing before a glowing wardrobe, through which a forest and a white stag are visible. The image sets up the fairy tale tone of the story, which chronicles the birth of Narnia itself and introduces the White Witch (Meryl Streep) and the lion Aslan (voiced by Daniel Craig).
Directed by Greta Gerwig, Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew is the first of two planned movies based on the Chronicles of Narnia books. The film will receive a two-week IMAX run beginning November 25, 2026, before premiering on Netflix on December 25, 2026.
The first look arrives after Netflix offered a glimpse of the movie at a showcase event earlier this year. Whether Gerwig’s take on the beloved fantasy world lands with audiences will become clearer once footage goes public.
UPDATE: As of publication, the first trailer for Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew has not yet been released. This story will be updated when it goes live.
